I recommend watching the full tournament before the final. That's just me though, as it adds so much more excitement and anticipation to the viewing pleasure.

Honestly Of, I get so confused seperating all the different Dynamite/Sayama matches. I get all the dates mixed up and also on the TWC Supershow I have of Dynamite, it doesn't tell any of the dates I don't think, so that doesn't help. I'll have to do a comparison, I'm intrigued. I'm currently finding out the dates of all the matches I have. 07/23/82 is on YouTube. It's awesome. Know what it's called? The Space Flying Tiger Drop. Know why? Because Satoru Sayama invented it. And guess what? He used it in the aforementioned match. I actually think the (subtle) similarities between the matches are coincidental, but unavoidable, because Benoit's idol was the Dynamite Kid, while Sasuke was Sayama's student. Please, do! Hart/Misawa didn't blow my skirt up, but I thought it was top quality. Better than Misawa/Steamboat, if we're comparing West vs East matches.

Shit they have great stuff on this DVD. And the quality is awesome.
I wish I could, but I don't know how to get it.
I remember I was on another forum, and somebody had a link to the "Best of Tiger Mask and Dynamite Kid", and it had all their matches! But when I opened it, the file was not found. I was pissed.
It must be a torrent, so somebody try to find it!

Nice one, they're the only set of matches I get confused over and it annoys the hell out of me. I don't have them on my computer, because I taped that supershow. I don't recall Sayama doing it, so even more reason for me to go over all those matches again. I'm seriously looking so forward to watching all these Sayama/Dynamite matches again I'm becoming aroused. I'll try my best. Yeah, Hart/Misawa didn't do all that much for me, although it does have it's moments. Another couple of matches with each other and they would have sorted those communication problems out. Been a while since I watched Steamboat/Misawa but if my memory is correct I think of Hart's match being better. What do you make of Bulldogs vs Kroffat & Furnass? I think it's a great 'big man' tag match, granted none of them are that tall, they're all pumped up to fuck. There's some illogical stuff happening but it's such an entertaining match.

I'll have to watch the Bulldogs vs Furnass/Kroffat again.
Do you know of any highly acclaimed Steiners/Bulldogs matches? I'm wracking my brains trying to think of a specific one.

I don't recall ever seeing either Bulldog or Dynamite in the same ring as The Steiners, although I wouldn't be surprised if there's something out there.
I almost forgot.....I reckon Tsuruta/Kabuki/Fuchi vs Misawa/Kobashi/Taue - AJPW 26/5/90 if I recall is probably a 5* match. Definately a hugely historic All-Japan bout.
Harts/Steiners is a match I rate very highly. Does anyone think it could possibly be pushed to 5*?

Misawa/Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue, 6/1995 Misawa/Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue, 5/1994 Misawa/Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue, 1/1995 Misawa vs Kawada, 6/1994 Manami Toyota vs Toshiyo Yamada, 8/1992 Flair vs Steamboat, Clash VI
I use it VERY infrequently, and tend to save it for matches that are uniquely good. ****3/4 is otherwise the actual peak for how good a match can get.

Damn.
I do have one Furnas/Kroffat match, them facing Kobashi and Kikuchi. Good match, so I wanted to see if that was better.

Bret Hart Vs Chris Benoit- Owen Hart Memorial match on Nitro- Hugely emotional and a world class technical display from both men.
The Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels 1st Ever Hell In A Cell match- Brutal, bloody and hardcore. Possibly Shawn's finest hour.
Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 21- I'm perhaps being a little biased here because these are my two favorite all time wrestlers but I just felt this was an awesome match.
Samoa Joe Vs CM Punk II, ROH- I've never been a fan of really long matches. To me a match that runs longer than 30 minutes is running the risk of going overkill or putting the crowd to sleep. But my views on that changed however after I watched this them. Perfectly structured match with some stiff chops and kicks to boot.

I have Bret/Benoit at ****1/4 but it is a world class display of pure wrestling. I've yet to see a match like it on American soil since. Probably because there are no Bret Hart's around.

Yup, many overate the Owen Tribute match. I liked because for once one of the Monday Night shows were determined to give us a great match instead of trying to one up eachother using cheap ways to get ratings. Perhaps would've of meant more of Benoit won, Bret actually wanted to put him over but WCW wouldn't have it because they were planning on making him their next World Champ.
