The Onslaught video package plays across the screen, interlacing past matches and profiles of some of the major players of Onslaught while "Best of You" youtube.com/watch?v=Pd_p1A7WVNs plays. When the intro is finished the usual pyro shoots up and the camera pans across an excited audience in Washington DC.
Malenko: "Hello and welcome to another action packed edition of Friday Night Onslaught, I'm Dean Malenko."
Matthews: "And I'm Josh Matthews; and boy, do we have a kickass show for you tonight, folks!"
Malenko: "You're damn straight we do, Josh. With just 48 hours until Night Of The Immortals, CCW Onslaught is defying all rationality by giving our fans a sneak peek of things to come!"
Matthews: "The Neutron Star" Jerome Novaho will take on Jimmie Bones . . . and the team of Full Metal Jack and "Princess" Sophia Simpson will take on the CCW American Heavyweight Champion, "The Enigma" Chris 6yxx, and the challenger to Simpson's Women's Championship at Night Of The Immortals, Rayne. This we do know, and can confirm . . ."
All of a sudden, a guitar begins to play that the crowd instantly recognizes and they take great pride in singing along to the lyrics; cutting off Matthews in mid-sentence.
"RE! SPECT! WALK! What do you say?"
Two figures in familiar garb come out onto the stage to an awe-inspiring round of cheers. Both men sport huge grins, but as they make their way down the ramp, the crowd realizes that something is amiss. One of them holds out a hand to shake with a fan, then pulls it quickly away while slapping the same fan with his free hand as his partner applauds the performance.
Mathews "What the hell? That's not Khaos, it's..."
Malenko "Shut up for once, Josh, and watch your screen!"
The two men continue down and venture across a boy slurping down cola from a straw with a t-shirt sporting the phrase "Let Khaos Reign." One looks to the other, points to the young fan and the slaps the soda out of his grasp. The boy looks to be on the verge of tears which only makes the "champions" laugh harder. By now, it's plain to see that these men aren't Ryan Kage and Kris Kain, but David and Danny Lord dressed as Khaos.
Taking their precious time, they climb the steel stairs and once through the ropes, finally arrive at their destination.
Not-Ryan Kage "Greetings, town, from the 3-time.....*Not-Kris Kain motions to him, correcting him* oh, sorry, I never learned to count. The 2-time World Tag Team Champions! It seems like an eternity since we've been in the ring. I wonder why. Do you know why, Kris?"
Not-Kris Kain "Because we have no talent?" Ryan nods and goes to speak, but his partner interrupts him. "Because our title win at Resurrection was a fluke?" Again, Ryan agrees and tries to continue, but Not-Kris won't let up. "Because....."
Not-Ryan Kage "Alright, Kris!"
Not-Kris Kain "Because we suck!"
Not-Ryan Kage "Okay, Kris, enough. Jeez, your breath reeks. What toilet have you been kissing?"
Not-Kris Kain "Her name is Shirley."
Not-Ryan Kage "My best...okay, my only friend Kris makes a good point. We really got lucky at Resurrection. I mean, who knows what might have happened if we'd been forced to wrestle...uh, what were those guys' names again?"
Not-Kris Kain "Butch and Sundance?"
Not-Ryan Kage "No."
Not-Kris Kain "Siskel and Ebert?"
Not-Ryan Kage "Isn't one of them dead?"
Not-Kris Kain "Oh! I know, Bert and Ernie!"
Not-Ryan Kage "That's them! Nothing but a bunch of muppets!"
Not-Kris Kain "We sure are lucky those Lord guys took care of them for us. We sure wouldn't have gotten the job done ourselves."
Not-Ryan Kage "Kris, that is so true. You know, I think we should thank David and Danny by giving them a shot at the title. What do you think, folks?"
The crowd isn't too fond of the idea, but "Ryan" seems adamant.
Not-Ryan Kage "Yeah, let's get that general manager out here and make this official!"
"There's NO way in HELL you're ever going to get a title shot!"
The crowd bursts into cheers as the real Khaos come walking out onto the stage. Not-Kris Kain slides out of the ring, grabs a chair and then slides back in, ready to introduce it to Ryan and Kris should they try to enter. But they remain calm and start walking down the ramp.
Ryan Kage "You bastards have a lot of nerve coming out here and mocking us. It seems to me you're not in the good graces of a lot of people these days. I mean, you attacked Shane and Cougar for no reason. Why DID you do that?"
Not-Ryan Kage "I don't have....."
Ryan Kage "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY YOU DID IT!"
This gets the crowd roaring with cheers as "Ryan" grimaces and grips the mic harder, forming both hands into fists.
Ryan Kage "What matters are these." *motions at the real tag team titles* "You see, you may dress like Khaos, you may walk and talk like Khaos, but you'll never be the one thing that Khaos has been - champions!"
He lets this sink in.
Ryan Kage "You're not even a one-time champion. You're both NO-TIME Champions!"
Both members of Khaos begin to laugh, which draws the ire of the men who came out trying to mock them. Not-Kris Kain starts to move for the ropes, but Not-Ryan Kage stops him and shakes his head. He knows that going outside makes them vulnerable to attack.
Ryan Kage "So, at Night of the Immortals II, it's not going to be Khaos versus the Lords no matter how much you wish upon a star. Since we have a say in who we accept challenges from, I'm telling you right now, it'll never be you!"
David pulls off his wig, revealing his short dark hair underneath.
David Lord "Yeah, I bet you think you're so smart, Ryan. Well, let's get Austin out here anyway, because the Lords have an 'ace' up our sleeve."
Mathews "Ace? What does he mean by ace?"
Malenko "If you'll shut up, maybe we'll find out!"
After a few seconds, the sound of broken glass echoes throughout the arena as the general manager Steve Austin comes walking out to thunderous applause. Ryan and Kris look up at him as he stops at the top of the ramp and motions to the four men.
Steve Austin "You asked for the general manager, you got him and it better be damn important. I was busy!"
David Lord "Oh, it's important! I want you to give my brother and I a title match at Night of the Immortals II."
Steve Austin "Why the hell should I do that? What have you done lately to prove you deserve one? You attack my wrestlers, you ruin the matches I book. No! I may not like these sumbitches between us..." *motioning at Ryan and Kris* "....but I'll be damned if I'm going to let you two in-bred jackasses lead me around by the collar, either. So you ain't getting no title match!"
David Lord "Is that your final answer?"
Steve Austin "Who are you, Alex Trabek? You're damn right it's my final answer."
David begins to laugh and his brother follows suit, prompting Austin to wonder what's up.
Steve Austin "Why the hell are you laughing?"
David Lord "Oh, Steve." *Austin takes great offense to this and walks down a bit further* "I hate to break this to you, but you really don't have any choice in the matter. You're going to give a title match whether you want to or not."
Steve Austin "I sure as hell would like to know why I am!"
David Lord "Well, it's simple. You see, back in September, we faced Ryan and Kris in a match with a unique stipulation. I do believe....yes, it was called an Anytime Contract Match. And gosh, who won that contract, Danny?"
Danny Lord "We did, David."
David Lord "Indeed we did, indeed we did. So, Steve, you have no choice in the matter....because at NOTI II, we're cashing in our contract....and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it!"
Both Lord brothers start laughing at their actions which have forced both Austin and Khaos into a corner.
Ryan Kage "No! We refuse to acknowledge that contract. Steve....er, Mr. Austin, you can't seriously consider that stipulation valid! I mean, that was almost six months ago! It's become null and void."
David Lord "Wrong! The contract is valid anytime, whether it be next week or next year. So, it's crystal clear, there's nothing you or Kris can do, except lose at NOTI II!"
Josh Mathews "What a bomb David just dropped! How is our general manager going to respond to this?"
Dean Malenko "If he's smart, he'll give the Lords what they deserve - a title shot."
David Lord "So, what do you have to say about that, Steve?"
Steve Austin "First off, if you call me Steve one more time, I'm going to take those titles that you seem so fond of winning and shove 'em up your ass. As for the title match, I can't change you cashing in that Whatever Wussy Contract, so at NOTI II.....you got your title shot!"
The crowd begins to boo heavily, upset that the Lord have seemingly outsmarted both Khaos and Steve Austin with a long forgotten stipulation.
Ryan Kage "You can't be serious!"
Steve Austin "Well, hell, what other choice do I have?"
The general manager ponders his options for a few seconds and then smiles a big toothy grin.
Steve Austin "Yeah, okay, I can't change who you face at Night of the Immoratals II, Ryan. But I can add onto it."
David Lord "What....what do you mean?"
Steve Austin "I mean that I'm giving Ryan and Kris the option of adding onto this match. They can make it a No Disqualification match. It can be a Falls Count Anywhere match. Hell, they can say Hell in a Cell and it's a done deal."
David Lord "That's not fair!"
Steve Austin "Look at it as my way of painting myself out of a corner."
Josh Mathews "I wonder what Khaos will decide."
Dean Malenko "Whatever it is, the Lords can handle it."
Ryan Kage "Well, that's quite an opportunity. Kris, what do you think we should choose."
Kris Kain "Gosh, I don't know, we could make it a cage match."
The audience cheer at this possibility.
Ryan Kage "No, I think we should keep it simple."
Kris Kain "Hey, there's this promotion I heard about that has ropes crossing the ring and you have to shimmy across to grab the belts..."
Ryan Kage "That's the lamest thing I've ever heard."
Kris Kain "Well, how about scaffolding?"
Ryan Kage "Are you kidding? No, but you're on the right track. I think I've figured it out. We'll give the Lord brothers a sporting chance, even though they denied others such luxuries."
Steve Austin "What do you have in mind?"
Ryan Kage "Mr. Austin...we're going to take these titles and hang them high above the ring..."
The crowd begins to roar when they realize what Ryan is leading to.
Ryan Kage "And the only way to get to them will be from this!"
Ryan runs down to the ring with Kris not far behind. He rummages underneath and finding what he was looking for, pulls out at 30 foot ladder. He throws it forward, sending it falling against the ropes and pushes it into the ring. David and Danny run for cover as the ladder flies towards them.
Kris Kain "YES! David and Danny, we may have to face you, but it's going to be in a Ladder Match! How does that sound, Mr. General Manager?"
Steve rubs the stubble on his chin, but smiles after a second.
Steve Austin "I like it! It's official! Khaos vs. Lords of Flatbush at Night of the Immortals II for the World Tag Team titles in a Ladder Match! And that's the bottom line....cause Stone Cold says so!"
Josh Mathews "Oh wow! Night of the Immortals II just took another step up the wrung of success with this announcement! I can't wait to see this!"
Dean Malenko "It appears so, Josh. I have to say I'm impressed."
Steve Austin's music begins to play as he exits the arena, most likely to go back and drink more beer. Ryan and Kris slide into the ring and set up the ladder. Mounting it, they gaze down upon David and Danny as the crowd cheers them, excited for the future match.
