The camera opens on a shot of a dimly lit, dank, and empty room. The camera pans around to get a good look of the room, but that’s impossible due to the poor lighting. The camera goes back to its original position and for a few seconds, nothing but eerie silence fills the room.
Unknown Voice: So it has finally come down to this.
Suddenly, a spotlight comes on in front of the camera and a figure walks into the light. A figure we should all know very well by now.
Wheeler: Night of the Immortals 2…the match everyone has been wetting themselves for. The Onslaught Icon vs. the Unleashed Icon. The 2-time Global Heavyweight champion vs. the 2-time World Heavyweight champion. The man everyone can’t get enough of vs. the man everyone wished would just go away. The hip, young, new, cool, sexy, and talented JD Wheeler vs. the old, tired, feeble, horse-faced, and obsolete Nathan Versus.
Upon mentioning Versus name, another spotlight shines and a huge picture of Versus himself is can be seen behind Wheeler.
Wheeler: Now the truth is I don’t really care about the prestige that can be gained from winning a match like this. I don’t care that winner will be considered the true icon of CCW. And why do you ask? It’s because I and everyone in the free fucking world already knows that title has belonged to me since day one of CCW.
Wheeler leans into the camera.
Wheeler: The only thing I care about is you, Nathan.
Wheeler steps back.
Wheeler: To tell you the truth…for a while now, I’ve had my crosshairs directly on you. For a whole year, you’ve been walking around CCW like you owned the place. You’ve acted like there was no one in the world that could compare to you. You’ve been acting like you were invincible. That bothered me because the only way you could’ve possibly had that attitude was if you never noticed JD Wheeler. For you see, ANYONE who knows about JD Wheeler knows that they are inferior to me. Yet, some how you were able to convince yourself that you lived in a fantasy world where JD Wheeler never existed and live your life like you were the king.
Now I was willing to let it go because I knew that you were the only one who felt that way. You were on the inferior brand, so I figured no one would notice you anyway. But I was becoming a little more agitated by your attitude every day you still showed your face on TV. So, I finally decided to end that charade of yours once and for all at Resurrection when I dumped you over the top rope and proved my superiority over you. I was quite pleased with myself for I had given the biggest reality check I have ever given in my entire life.
Wheeler looks down at the floor for a few moments, takes a deep breath, and slowly lifts his head back up.
Wheeler: Or at least…I thought it was. To my surprise, instead of taking reality like a man, what did you do? You refused to accept the truth and tossed me over the top rope. Then you attacked me like I was a piece of garbage. I was saddened to find out that my biggest reality check of all time had no affect on you. You some how still think you are better than me!! How is that even possible?? How could someone possibly think they’re better than JD Wheeler and still be a sane man?? I was at a loss. I honestly didn’t know what to do or what to think. The only thing I was able to do was nothing. Nothing…until you of all people gave me a new hope. After being so consumed inside your little fantasy world, you actually had the balls to challenge me at Night of the Immortals. I thought this is it…this is my opportunity to finally destroy your fantasy and drag your carcass back to reality. So let’s start right now by taking a look back over the past year of CCW shall we?
JD Wheeler reaches off camera and pulls out a couple of folders. He opens them and begins flipping papers and reading its contents.
Wheeler: Let’s begin with your win at Night of the Immortals making you the first ever World Heavyweight title. Now, this was an impressive feat no doubt. However, no one can deny there was luck involved. I’m not talking about narrowly defeating J-Man or Adam Matthews, which by the way shouldn’t have been hard to begin with. No, I’m talking about the fact that you didn’t have to face me in the tournament. That’s the ONLY reason you came out on top. Now I would have been in the match, but I had some personal things to deal with and couldn’t be distracted by the tournament. After all, I knew I would take the title away from whoever won it in the first place.
However, to no one’s real shock, instead of giving me the rightful title shot, you instead decided to make sure you would have to face J-Man again at the next PPV. Are you honestly kidding me? Did you actually think everyone would take you seriously by beating that Mickey Mouse of an opponent again? It’s here that I truly started questioning your sanity. And then, I didn’t even get the chance to put you in your place because I was drafted to Onslaught. So, I took a different route. Instead of beating you one-on-one, I decided to beat you in the ratings.
The moment I became the first ever Global Heavyweight champion, Onslaught became a mega hit. I was selling out arenas, crushing the competition, and taking Onslaught and CCW to new heights. You, on the other hand, single handedly nearly destroyed wrestling with your piss poor matches, second rate challengers, and your hobgoblin of a face constantly on the TV. It’s a wonder how Unleashed is still on the air. You even lost the title to Adam Matthews…and yet to still think you’re better than me. Amazing.
Now because of some flukes, I lost my title as well a couple of times. However, despite that I still managed to steal the show every single week. You on the other hand, had to leave for a couple of months after you lost your title. I guess deep down you realized that without that belt, you’re are nothing to the fans.
Oh dear God, I can’t read this anymore.
Wheeler closes the folders.
Wheeler: With every word I read, it pains to me to know that you some how still think you’re better than me. Whatever you’re on, it must be some good shit.
Wheeler tosses the folders out of the way. He takes a look back at the picture of Versus. Wheeler takes notice of Nathan’s shirt that reads “Don’t Fuck With Destiny.” Wheeler scoffs and turns back to the camera.
Wheeler: Don’t fuck with destiny eh? No worries Nathan. I’m not fucking with destiny at all. No…I’m raping[/b] in the ass and making it my bitch!! I’m above destiny, Nathan. Destiny is for pussies with no control over their lives. I never bow to any higher force in life. You know why? It’s because there is no higher force than J…D…Wheeler!
Suddenly, the sound of a match striking can be heard and Wheeler produces a couple of lit matches. Wheeler looks at the light of the flames for a few seconds and then lowers his arm. Soon, the light starts to grow brighter from below Wheeler. Within seconds, Wheeler then produces a flaming 2x4. Wheeler smiles as the spotlight disappears and the only light left is produced by the flaming 2x4. Wheeler looks directly into the camera as the flaming light barely illuminates Wheeler’s face, making it seem like he’s some kind of specter.
Wheeler: Nathan, enjoy your fantasy while you still can. ‘Cos when you and I enter the ring, reality…is gonna bite you in the ass.
Wheeler then slowly heads over to the picture of Versus. Wheeler looks back in forth between the picture and the 2x4 for a few seconds. He takes one final look at the picture before sizing it up and spitting right at the face of Versus. He then takes the 2x4 and slowly brings it over to the bottom of the picture. Within seconds, the picture catches fire and the flames slowly begin consuming the picture. After a couple of seconds, Wheeler turns back to the camera and gives one last Wheeler style smirk.
Wheeler: See ya in the ring Nathan.
Wheeler starts to laugh to himself as he exits the camera shot. The camera pans in to the picture as the flames begin to consume Versus face until nothing but the fire can be seen in the shot.
Camera fades to black.
