For at least one night, Dean Malenko will be coming out of retirement. It will be on March 3rd at Plaza de Toros la Monumental de Monterrey working for Toryumon Mexico. Malenko will team with Funaki vs. Mr. Aguila (aka former WWE star Essa Rios) & Damian 666 vs. former ECW star Yoshihiro Tajiri & Ultimo Dragon.

Funaki is awesome, Don.
Also, I just realised this is in the news section. Which I didn't realise still existed.

The news part of general wrestling. I forgot it was actually here until today.

That may be, I guess . . . but he's no Tajiri, or Ultimo Dragon. That's for damn sure. Either of those people should be the partner for "The Iceman" before Funaki.

Funaki just hasn't really been given a chance to show his talent in WWE.
I've seen some very good Funaki matches in Japan, although any specifics elude me.

Thats a really strange match to come out of retirement for. Its just going to be a typical run of the mill 3 way tag match. I can't understand Malenko's choice for doing so. A singles match against say, Tajiri, Dragon or Essa Rios would have been much better or even a normal tag match.
Good news, but odd.
I'm assuming Nexty meant he's surprised Toryumon Mexico still exists. Well Mexico loves wrestling, so it doesn't surprise me at all, especially considering Ultimo's popular down there.

I think it was Michinoku Pro, which fits with him and TAKA being close friends.
