There will be a contest for 2007.
Here are my suggestions on the rules. If you disagree with anything, please tell me.
Rules (new rules are in green) :
Predict:
- The winner - The winner (No Title Change) - Draw/No contest
1 Point for:
- Correct prediction - Perfect score (bonus point) - Being the sole winner (bonus point)
Tiebreaker:
- Number of PPV wins - The one who has finished higher the most times (credit to Adzer for this great idea) - WrestleMania 23 - Overtime with Sudden Death rules
Other:
- Prediction threds will be put up here and on IMDb.com
- ECW ppv's and Cyber Sunday will be excluded.
- A ppv needs a minimum of 5 matches announced beforehand to be a part of the contest.
- [green]Matches who has had its stipulation changed during the same night will still be counted. The match will also count if more wrestlers/tag teams are added, unless one of them emerges victorious. [/green]
- Late announced matches only count when I say so (and everyone here has been informed).
- It is only allowed to update your post BEFORE the ppv.
- The Total Score thread sums upp all your points from each round.
- It's important to participate in all rounds.
- Have fun!

Will do, Dave. I have no problem with any of the new rules . . . & thanks for continuing the Prediction Contest.

Cheers Don... What this means anyway, is that you can in theory get 2 bonus points for being the only one to get a perfect score.

I dont get why the ECW ppv's are excluded, but everything else is great.

I dont get why the ECW ppv's are excluded, but everything else is great. Because there's only been one thus far, I would imagine . . . & the card for said event wasn't fully revealed, beforehand . . . so I honestly have no problem with the decision. ECW is shit, anyway.

So is Raw, and Smack Down for that matter, but they're still in. Anyway, if what we're lead to believe is true, in that Vinny Mac wants a minimal reveal of the card to be the build-up for future PPV's (on all brands), then it'll be the same all round.

There are several things that separates the ECW brand from Raw and SmackDown; Even though its booking is controlled by WWE creative, ECW is not WWE. Furthermore many people (including myself) do not follow it. Lastly the abdysmal December to Dismember ppv had not enough matches announced in time.
Thanks for the feedback.

Update: [green]Matches who has had its stipulation changed during the same night will still be counted. The match will also count if more wrestlers/tag teams are added, unless one of them emerges victorious.[/green] - Euan argued that he wouldn't have picked Regal and Taylor if it was a Ladder Match. But if I would've have removed that match from the contest then I would also have to scrap matches that are being changed to for example No DQ stipulations the same night (which happens quite often), which doesn't make much sense. I also see no reason to remove a match from the contest just because more wrestlers/tag teams are added to a match - unless of course, one of them happens to win. I also changed my mind and decided to include the "irrelevant" Diva's matches. It's sometimes hard to separate the irrelevant ones from those that actually serve a purpose. Also, some ppv's (Great American Bash springs to mind) maybe have to be excluded from the contest unless those matches count. Another thing I realised was that it didn't make sense that 6 guys who got 5/5 at No Mercy got a bonus point, yet Nathan did not get one at WrestleMania. Therefore I included a bonus point for being the sole winner. I am as geeky and serious as possible to prevent arguments next winter...
