After hitting a game-winning shot at the buzzer against the Bucks, one of my buds is practically pronouncing him MVP now, how good is he?

Pretty goddamn good, I love his confidence. I love that after he shot it, he knew it was in immediately. He's a great player, and would probably be a bigger star if he wasn't a Wizard.

I agree, he's what 3rd in scoring this year? Amazing three-point shots and picking up 54 points against The Suns alone is a thing of beauty. As for popularity, give him a year or so, The Wizards are even looking pretty damn good this year. As for MVP, no way, it's Lebron's year.

Gilbert Arenas is so good . . . ;D He can make a basket by pointing to the ball and saying "You, in now!" I guess I kinda walked into that one.

[glow=red,2,300]As long as he doesn't go throwing a sucker punch like another rising young star, I'd say he's going to have one hell of a year.[/glow]

That may be, but until they win a championship and change that uniform, no one will take them seriously.

[glow=red,2,300]Kobe will kill the Lakers. I guarantee it.[/glow] The game last night against the Kings showed me a few things. 1. It showed me that they are a very lazy team when they get a lead, VERY lazy. 2. The supporting cast is HORRIBLE without Odom and Kwame. 3. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the league. Now for Arenas. His shot against the Bucks really didn't impress me that much, because it was a shot where if he missed, they wouldn't end up on the losing end, and it would go to overtime against a team which frankly, they are better than. Gilbert Arenas may be the best scorer or the team, but I think the best all around player is Caron Butler. Here are his numbers on the season. Points per game: 20.7 Assists per game: 3.8 Steals per game: 1.94 Rebounds(Offensive and Defensive) per game: 8.1 Free throws(season): 150-171 Free throw percentage: 88% None of this is really mind blowing, but he's helping the team out in all the ways that he can, and so far this season, they've been fairly successful.(Especialy considering how poor their Center play is.)

First off, you are way off here Bo about the Lakers. Consider that they beat the Nuggets the other week without Kobe getting in double figures. They aren't lazy, they are just young. Kobe is the best player but the Lakers have quietly put together a team around him. Walton is a quality player, Odom is a nice second option, Bynum and Farmar have a lot of talent, Kwame is a bit underrated, and they have nice role players like Evans and Turiaf.
As far as Arenas goes, he is the first half MVP. No player has had a bigger impact on his team than this guy and he has been unstoppable at times. Very impressed by him.

I made my comments before that Nuggets game,so I did see how good they could be. However, you added in Odom and Kwame, both are players that I said were fairly big in the Laker's offence(and defense for that matter.) And apparently, they're getting Chris Webber(Who may be a shell of his former self, however, he can still pass the ball, and he's one of the smartest players in the leauge.) My main problem with the Lakers(I've seen just about every game of their's this season.) is that when they get down, they rely on Kobe and Bynum, which could prove to be very hazardous come May. However, with the addition of C-Webb, I think the Lakers have a realistic shot of making the NBA Finals.
