They have struggled badly this year in the league and have been unpredictable to say the least in Europe. That's very true, they lost 2 of their games to AEK and Lille and drew with Lille too. They have been dodgy in Serie A too, even without the points reduction they would still be about 6th. But, Celtics bad away form is not going to do them well if it continues, the San Siro is where Celtics fate will be IMO

Also we have one of the best home records in the tournament, only Barca have beaten us at Parkhead and I am very confident of getting a result at home. I was quite pleased with the draw, apart from ourselves, they are one of the weaker teams left along with PSV and Porto either of these teams I would have been pleases with as well.

Lille could have been a good draw for them too, Lyon are the strong team in france and still top of their league but Lille are struggling a little bit in Ligue 1 in 4th. I also think that Celtic could have made a good challenge to Liverpool or Arsenal

Porto vs. Chelsea Celtic vs. AC Milan PSV Eindhoven vs. Arsenal Lille vs. Manchester United Roma vs. Lyon Barcelona vs. Liverpool Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich Inter Milan vs. Valencia
With these match's being next week who do you think will get the upper hand going in to the second leg of the games in March? I am going to say;
Chelsea AC Milan Arsenal Lille/Manchester United (draw) Lyon Barca/Liverpool (draw) Bayern Munich Inter Milan
Could be really wrong but anything can happen in football.

Porto vs. Chelsea Celtic vs. AC Milan PSV Eindhoven vs. Arsenal Lille vs. Manchester United Roma vs. Lyon Barcelona vs. Liverpool Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich Inter Milan vs. Valencia Couple of guesses here, but here is how the first legs will go Porto 1-1 Chelsea Celtic 1-3 AC Milan PSV Eindhoven 0-2 Arsenal Lille 0-0 Manchester United Roma 2-2 Lyon Barcelona 2-0 Liverpool Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich Inter Milan 2-0 Valencia I have a feeling that Inter will take the trophy in the end, they are some great form in Serie A, Adrianio and Ibrahimovich are playing well and Crespo/Cruz/Recoba are all great top have as backup strikers.

I'll say:
Porto 0 - 2+ Chelsea Celtic 1 - 0 AC Milan PSV 0 - 1 Arsenal Lille 0 - 2+ Man Utd Roma 0 - 1 Lyon Barc 2 - 1 Liverpool Real Madrid 1 - 1 Bayern Munich Inter 1 - 0 Valencia
My tip for the tournament is Lyon. They have played so well in the past few seasons, only to choke at the latter stages. I think this could be there year.

I can see it being a Lyon/Inter final, but I can see Liverpool taking Barca, not just as I am a Liverpool fan, just can see Liverpool doing them.

Inter v Valencia will be a cracking tie.
I've followed Inter for 16 years now so I'm currently delighted, however, Valencia could well have been winning the Spanish league this year had it not been for the freak injuries to their entire first team.Vicente, Gavilan, Regueiro who were their first threee choices for left midfield were all injured at the same time in addition to Del Horno long term with his back up Moretti being injured as well. Central midfielders Marchena, Albelda, Baraja and Edu all bit the dust at the same time as well as Villa and Morientes both being injured at the same time!
All these players are either back or just back and they beat Barcelona last night so this tie could be great as Valencia at full strength have quite a team.

Couple of guesses here, but here is how the first legs will go Celtic 1-3 AC Milan PSV Eindhoven 0-2 Arsenal Lille 0-0 Manchester United Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich Celtic 0-0 AC Milan * (Wrong, my guess 1-3), good result to stop AC getting an away goal, but as I said before the San Siro awaits (if they do actually intend on holding it there), which is where Celtic need to really play out of their skins to survive and maybe nick an away goal. PSV Eindhoven 1-0 Arsenal * (Wrong, my guess 0-2), Surprising result, didnt get to see the match to evaluate Arsenals performance but 1-0 loss isnt a terrible defeat for them and is well within their reaches of turning around, If Brighty or Carl could fill me on the match itself, I would really appreciate it. Lille 0-1 Manchester United *(Wrong, my guess 0-0), It nearly finished with a correct prediction for me, after Lille's goal was disallowed (Not sure if it should have been), and then Uniteds contraversial goal from a free kick that the referee never blew the whistle for (according to Fifa its perfectly legal), but a great game to watch, both teams played with the urgency you expect at this level, but also both making stupid mistakes and either team could have walked out with the win, Old Trafford now awaits the decider with United having an away goal. Overall, not a great performance by Man Utd at all, but the result will definitely help us reach the quarter finals (nothings guaranteed though). Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich *(Correct, my guess 3-2), Well I never expected to get this one right, the exact scoreline aswell, from what I seen of the match, it was just bad luck on Bayern that they didnt get the draw from this game, but 2 away goals from the Bernabeau (sp?) is almost as good as, 2nd leg in Munich ought to be interesting

Great result for Man utd. It was a average performance (at times awful) but the result yesterday was the only important thing.
I would say we are through, i cant see them causing us any problems at home. ;D

I missed most of the Man Utd game yesterday as forgot all about it but was lucky enough to flick over when Giggs put away the free kick and to watch the Lille coach telling his players to come off the pitch. Stupid moment in football, but made me laugh. As for my predictions; AC Milan - Wrong, ended a draw Arsenal - Arsenal lost. Lille/Manchester United (draw) - Man Utd won. Bayern Munich - Wrong as they lost, close match tho. Didn't do very good at predicting the winners last night.

Even you, an Inter fan, have to admit that they are among the most feeble teams (read: biggest underachievers in Europe) and regardless of how they do it this season, their championship win should and will always be marked with an asterix: No Juventus, AC Milan 20 points behind from day one, Serie A's poorest league for years and the most stacked team in Italian football history, finally give Inter a scudetto. I find their plight, quite frankly, beyond hilarious. They'll beat Valencia but will fall short on one of the next two rounds as they're a bunch of choke artists. PSV were/are shite, Arsenal were their usual waste of space selves. Loads of possession, loads of missed chances, about 20 passes too many. Henry needs to be dropped as captain and from the team, he does nothing but pout these days; complete waste of space. Tomas Rosicky is a God, Robin Van Persie and Emanuel Eboue need to hurry up and return and Gilberto needs to be made captain. Phillipe Senderos needs to fuck off and Kolo Toure needs to learn how to defend again because his instability is really starting to worry me.

I don't think we need to play out of our skins to get a result in Milan. Watching the game it looked pretty even with no real goal scoring oppertunities, but that was a pretty poor performance by our standards. If AC play lie that at the San Siro and we actually perform then we could take them.

Barcelona 1-2 Liverpool FC Porto 1-1 Chelsea Inter Milan 2-2 Valencia Roma 0-0 Lyon
So happy about the Liverpool score tonight, what a way to come off after a week of players having alleged bust up's and for the two main people in it all to score. Can't wait for the return leg at Anfield, should be a good one.

Porto 1-1 Chelsea Roma 2-2 Lyon Barcelona 2-0 Liverpool Inter Milan 2-0 Valencia Porto 1-1 Chelsea - On the button, well done Porto!! Roma 0-0 Lyon - Right result, wrong score Barcelona 1-2 Liverpool - Wrong, great result for Liverpool, like someone said, Barca's defence made too many fuckups and Liverpool punished them for it Inter Milan 2-2 Valencia - Interesting situation for this tie, 2 away goals and a home fixture to come really sways in Valencia's favour Even you, an Inter fan, have to admit that they are among the most feeble teams (read: biggest underachievers in Europe) and regardless of how they do it this season, their championship win should and will always be marked with an asterix: No Juventus, AC Milan 20 points behind from day one, Serie A's poorest league for years and the most stacked team in Italian football history, finally give Inter a scudetto. I find their plight, quite frankly, beyond hilarious. Even if AC didnt have the 20 point reduction they would be 2nd and 10 points behind Inter, AC lost 4-3 to Inter earlier this season and Inter beat 2nd place at the moment Roma aswell, so you have to say they have earned the championship if they do indeed win it.
