TNA will be announcing a new match called "Elevation X." It will be a battle of X-Division wrestlers debuting at the March 11th Destination X PPV. "Elevation X" is supposed to be a scaffold type of match.

Great. Another gimmick match . . . I hope you're all able to detect the sarcasm hidden in this post.

It can't get much worse than climbing across a jungle gym to get to a red X. Oh wait, a "scaffold" type of match. Maybe it can...

If it's as successful as WCW's Scaffold Match (Vampiro vs Sting), look out WWE!

Come on guys, it could have a good story. Although if it were set it up outside an office building and they were armed them with squeegees and they'd be sure to get double their average pay.

I wanna see the "REAL" X Division Pioneer, Kevin Nash hit his trademark 1170 Splash off the top of a scaffold. You know it's gonna happen, be prepared.

SPOILER
Interesting that the first ever Elevation X Match will be between AJ Styles and that well known X Division Athlete..... Rhino. The feud that will never die. As Russo builds up his buddy Styles while burying Rhino.

Ya know, I watched a little bit of the "This Is TNA" spcial last night . . . & had I not already been aware of the shit that they spew on a regular basis, this wouldn't have roped me in anyway. Joe/Angle, while I'm sure it was a lot longer than what they showed, was nothing to cry home about. They don't even acknowledge the fact that Angle was a wrestler before joining WWE, which made his defeat of Samoa Joe seem even more ridiculous, as it appeared as though the man who had a "year & a half winning streak" had just lost to a relative newcomer. Also; what's with that cinema-style camera shot they always cut to during their matches? I mean, Jesus . . . is that really necessary? Especially when you zoom in on some motherfucker who's just standing there?!? Doing nothing else?!? Not only that, but I cannot stand Don West. I've always appreciated Mike Tenay's knowledge of the sport, too, but after seeing that clip of them both reading from scripts, I can no longer take him seriously. Oh, & 1 more thing; they played a promo hyping the amount of violence their matches produce, & the announcer ends up asking: "And do you know why they do it? It's not for the glory . . . or the fame . . . or the multi-million dollar contracts, because TNA doesn't have any . . . It's because TNA is an addicition!" First of all, they kinda' burned themselves with the whole "we don't have multi-million dollar contracts" statement . . . don't you think? But, if TNA is an addicition to be had, then I want no part of whatever substance (or lack thereof, ZING) the wrestling world has to offer.

I'm calling it now. AJ will still do some sort of superfluous and stupid flip from the top of it, despite being a heel.

Don while i agree with you than TNA is pure shit . they did say that angle was a multiple world champion and that " he has beaten the best in the world".

I'm calling it now. AJ will still do some sort of superfluous and stupid flip from the top of it, despite being a heel. I still don't see why people have a problem with heels showing athletism. Whether he's a heel or a face, it's been well established that Styles is a show-off regardless, and will do anything to entertain the crowd[face] or get himself over[heel]. If you fault AJ for this, you might as well fault Shawn Michaels for the same exact thing, if not more so.

The man that aided in the destruction of my favorite company at the time is now screwing up any chance of challenging WWE to make better booking decsions.

Elevation X was one of the worst gimmick matches I've ever watched.
The big problem was that the only way someone was going to win the match was with stamping your opponent's hands while he dangling over the edge. A rather unaesthetically pleasing spot upon the eye, yes, but it was the only one possible given the limitiations of the match. It was hardly in the same vein as Vic Grimes or Foley.
Thon mark at ringside bubbling that AJ may be speared from the X had nothing to worry about.
